You can think of whatever you like to think of, but when I wrote the songs to “The tear collector” I dreamt of russian forests, silver lakes, death, summernights a long time ago. And disco dancing ballerinas.
The past year I have been musically inspired by Rachmaninov, Alice Coltrane, and all the modern R n B that my neighbour here in Crown Heights blasts out of her livingroom. (The walls are tissue paper thin).
I am not entirely sure that any of these influences shows in my music though, you be the judge of that.
The album is recorded in Stockholm and Brooklyn. My last album was a rainbow, this one goes in black, midnight blue, sheer light blue and deep purple.
